A. IN SHORT,Most conflicts involve the military,Civil war is fought in one country(e.g.,the American civil war/the English civil war etc, etc) total war is yet to happen,IF IT DID,Then it would involve most nations and include the use of nuc/CHEM/ WARFARE,i.e.,WMD

How do I install the Rome Total War series?
Q. I have: Rome Total War Rome Total War: Barbarian Invasion Rome Total War Alexander What is the best way to install them? Install the 1st, play it, install the second, play it, install the third...or is there a reason why I need to install all 3 ahead of time. Are they 3 seperate games or does the 2 expansions add extra elements into the original game as well? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated?
Asked by askquestions2000 - Sun Jul 20 20:06:08 2008 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments
A. They are all separate games. However, there are patches for each one that are available for free online. Just go to google and type in something like Rome Total War patch and it will show you a host of websites that have them. The patches just modify and add on to each one, but each one in itself is a different game.

What is the best mod for Rome: Total War and will it affect the game itself?
Q. WIll the mod, Lord of the Rings (for example), only allow me to play it in Lord of the Rings or will I be able to play it and the original Rome: Total War? Also, will the mod mess up the game so that there are bugs and lags?
Asked by WorldInConflict Ruler - Wed Oct 1 15:17:39 2008 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments
A. Mods will have bugs and issues, but usually not much more than the original game itself. Once you install a mod you cannot play the original game alone unless you make a copy of the vanilla (original) file and put it somewhere else

How do I find the enemy army in a Total War battlefield?
Q. This is almost certainly a very silly question, but I can't seem to crack it. I'm new to Total War. Have Rome:Total War. When I start a pitched battle, I can almost never see my enemy when I'm deploying. This often leads to deployments facing in awful directions and hurried re-deployment in the midst of battle. Is there some simple way to know, say, where the enemy is or, at least, in what direction?

What is the address of The Total War Creators?
Q. I need to know the address of the total war creators because of the following.I saw that they used my last name which is Giles for a French captain In medieval 2 total war. This is inaccurate and a bit annoying because Giles is an English last name and so my family is British. This was actually a bit offensive to me and some others because we are proud of our heritage. I just want to email them and see what they can do. Thanks.

A. Taiping Rebellion (1850-1864) the first instance of total war in modern China can be seen. Almost every citizen of the Taiping Ti nguo was given military training and conscripted into the army to fight against the imperial forces. During this conflict both sides tried to deprive each other of the resources to continue the war and it became standard practice to destroy agricultural areas, butcher the population of cities and in general exact a brutal price from captured enemy lands in order to drastically weaken the opposition's war effort. This war truly was total in that civilians on both sides participated to a significant extent in the war effort and in that armies on both sides waged war on the civilian population as well as military… [cont.]

How do I use mods for Medieval 2: Total war?
Q. I just learned about them so i want to try them out. When i am done downloading them and i open up Medieval 2: Total War nothing hasm changed. Please tell what i need to do to get the mod to work. One i would like to have is the Stainless Steel mod
Asked by Connor J - Fri Jul 10 20:28:43 2009 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments
A. You need to find the Medieval Total War 2 folder on your computer(usually c: drive), open the folder containing the mod files and then simply move the modified files into the MTW2 folder. It will ask you if you want to replace the exsisting files, hit yes. And there you go. Some MODS (like the regions and provinces) mod create a separate game icon that you have to click on to play (rather then clicking on the regular MTW2 start icon) the game. Hope this helps.

How to make Empire Total War run?
Q. My Empire total war runs but is incredibly slow. What is the problem is it graphics or RAM?
Asked by matt14.pats - Sun Aug 30 19:51:25 2009 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments
A. It does some pretty graphics so probably graphics. Try reducing the resolution. If your frames rate goes up you need a new graphics card. Or you could try lowering the detail settings. Try the smaller army sizes. Memory requirements are 1GB for XP and 2GB for Vista. If you have 2GB or more it's probably not your problem.

Asked by Darthkeyblader13 - Sun Aug 23 12:36:35 2009 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments
A. Yes, it will replace the original game. No and yes you will be able to play the original. The way to do this is to completely unistall the modded Rome (RTR) and original Rome, then reinstall Rome. However, once I modded the game I did not want to play the original version. The mod was more challenging and the realism mods made absolute sense to me.

A. mm you have to tell us the hardware of your pc and the os you've got. Then we can advice you. A good site to check your hardware is www.yougamers.com OK. all is right exept the GPU. You should take a better one... If you don't wanna spend too much go for a 9800GTX+ 512mb or for a HD4850 512mb that costs less. XD
