A. Get in contact with the USO or the Red Cross in your area and explain what you want to do. You might also consider calling and speaking to the Public Affairs Office on a nearby Army post. I would think that a place like Fort Hood, Texas would be most grateful for your help.

When riding into battle, did soldiers have a preference for male of female horses?
Q. I'm wondering, particularly in times past when battles were fought with horses, if there was any distinguishable difference between the genders of horses or if differences if battle capability were primarily attributable to the personalities of individual horses. Thank you for any help you might offer on this question.

Has President Bush ever honored fallen soldiers for their service to their nation?
Q. I just read that President Bush attended a cerimony that honored fallen firefighters for their dedication and service to the nation. This is a good and wonderful thing because Firefighters are a brave, important, and honorable group of individuals. I'm wondering, though, has there been a ceremony for the 3,000 or so members of the military who have lost their lives in the Middle East conflict because of their dedication and service to the nation? I'm not asking to be ignorant, I honestly just can't remember if this has ever happened. It seem to me that it should have happened, and if it hasn't then there is something very wrong with the President. Thank-you for the answers and thank all but one of you for not being rude.

A. He does this constantly. The fact that he does not seek publicity while doing it demonstrates that this is coming from the heart. (Can you name one Democrat politician who has shaken the had of a soldier when it was not a photo op?) He is also the only President to travel to a war zone to meet with the troops - and again never tried to turn it into a publicity stunt. Isn't it a shame that the news media hides this information from you?
