How do I search and obtain newspaper articles from the 1960's via the internet?
Q. I have an assignment for an online class and need to obtain newspaper articles from decades past, yet am coming up short. I live in a rural area so visiting a library isn't feasible. It's possible to have the state library send books to me, but I need a newspaper or magazine article for the assignment. I need to query possible headlines to fit my topic - I doubt the library would query a decade of headlines for me anyway. Any idea as to how to search and obtain online?

A. The New York Times has online archieves going back to 1851. Use the search engine to find articles from the 1960s. The service is free for now. www.nytimes.com

What is the best way to compile newspaper articles?
Q. One of my hobbies is cutting out interesting articles from the newspapers. However, I have a problem compiling them. I wanted to paste them into scrapbooks, but it's rather trouble, what with gluing them on to paper, and I don't know what is the suitable paper size for my pages/book. Should I file these newspaper articles instead? How? The important thing is that they should be easy to read, after I've compiled and categorized them neatly.

A. Use sticky dots to mount them onto notebook paper, then keep them in binders with tabs for the dates, subject or whatever your filing system is.

What 3 current event articles will be a theoretical analysis?
Q. I will choose 3 articles and argue which of the theoretical perspectives (functionalism, conflict theory, interactionism) best describes the tone, intent, or view of the article. I'm having a tough time looking for these types of articles in the newspaper. Can anyone help me figure out what topics from the newspaper will be good for the theoretical perspectives.
